Jade Oolong is a complex and elegant tea grown in the famous Fujian province of China, at an altitude of approximately 1200 meters above sea level. This oolong tea is characterized by its small, tightly rolled leaves that vary in color from dark to medium green. The tea is harvested in May, in the morning hours, when the dew is still on the leaves. The hand-picked leaves are processed quickly after harvest to preserve their unique character.
Jade Oolong offers a rich, floral aroma with a lingering aftertaste that develops over several draws. The tea has a clear yellow-orange infusion with a delicate structure. It offers a robust, yet subtle and nuanced flavor, perfect for those seeking a tea with both strength and elegance.
The tea has a balanced, floral profile that combines freshness with a long-lasting, smooth aftertaste, making Jade Oolong a favorite among tea lovers who appreciate a full-bodied yet refined taste experience.
This tea is suitable for both everyday enjoyment and for special occasions where you want a full-bodied, floral oolong tea with a deeper character.
Most of our teas can be brewed multiple times using the same leaves. This is especially true for oolong, which can often be brewed 4 times.
Oolong tea is semi-oxidized. This is done by pounding the leaves, usually in a bamboo drum, and roasting them in repetitive motions over a period of time until the desired oxidation is achieved. Oxidation of oolong can vary from 10 to 90%. The production of oolong is complicated and the tea is able to retain a complexity of flavor and aroma beyond that of white, green or yellow teas.
Organic oolong tea
An organic product is produced in a way that takes the environment into account by not using chemical and synthetic pesticides. It's good for the planet, but also for the tea, the farmer and you. By buying organic teas, you support healthy and long-term tea production.
NO-ØKO-01
We are proud to be the largest Norwegian brand importer of organic tea. To be approved by Debio and use the definition Organic, not only must the ingredients be certified organic, but our own plant must also be certified by Debio and controlled by Mattsilynet.
In addition to import controls from the Norwegian Food Safety Authority, we go beyond the requirements by also taking random samples for pesticides/pesticides and other pollutants.
It is important that tea is stored protected from air and light. That's why we sell all our teas packed in tight aluminum bags with a zip lock.
